Sewing the first seams!

I’ve sewn the front panels to the front sections, and the back center seams (for the outer garment, as well as the lining, which is from the same fabric.) To keep it from wrinkling, it’s hanging on the form that will be the stand for the final garment. It’s exciting to see it come together, but today I spent working out the yardage and measurements for the individual collages that will cover the front, back and sleeves of the outer garment. I will have to screenprint eleven yards of silk organza to create the collage fabrics. More daunting work ahead! But as my husband reminded me, I’m a professional!
