A good day to dye
Today I’m dyeing the silk dupioni for the main body of the kimono. I bought a giant muck bucket from the local feed store, so it would accommodate all the water and fabric! I’m using Procion to dye the silk, a process I’ve used a lot. Rarely do I dye this much fabric at one time, however; it’s challenging to handle 15 yards of wet fabric at one time. It’ll be one more step in the process, though, and a big hurdle to have this step completed.
